21/02/2019 (Agence Europe) – The European Parliament's Committee on Budgetary Control decided on Wednesday 20 February to ask the Parliament to postpone its decision on the discharge to the Executive Director of the European Asylum Support Office (EASO) for the implementation of the agency's budget for the 2017 financial year. It notes that the payments are not in conformity with the Financial Regulation and regrets that the combined amount of errors resulting from non-compliant payments amounts to at least €7.7 million, or 10.3% of the total payments made by the Office in 2017. In addition, for the ninth consecutive year, MEPs also suggest postponing the discharge on the 2017 expenditure of the Council and the European Council. (LC)
