23/11/2018 (Agence Europe) – The European Commission announced on Friday 23 November an additional €18 million in emergency aid for Sudan, bringing the total amount of EU humanitarian aid to €41 million for this country gripped by civil war. This money will support people displaced by conflict and provide care for malnourished children in hard-to-reach areas, said Christos Stylianides, European Commissioner for Humanitarian Aid. The European institution stresses that EU humanitarian aid to Sudan is only distributed through NGOs, UN agencies and international organisations. (MB)
