08/11/2018 (Agence Europe) – A number of inaccuracies made their way into our article dated 7 November on the extraordinary meeting of the GUE/NGL group (see EUROPE 12132). There was no formal decision during the meeting of the leaders and senior officials on maintaining the confederal structure of the group, but rather a consensus between parties to preserve this structure. The Danish party referred to several times was not the People's Movement against the EU, but the Danish Red-Green Alliance. Furthermore, our sources appear to have misinterpreted the comments made by this Danish party. Its representative, Nikolaj Villusem, said that he was in favour of changing the name GUE/NGL, reforming the internal rules and preserving the autonomy of the member parties. The online version of the bulletin has been corrected accordingly. (PH)
