Portugal again taken to Court over airport slots

08/11/2018 (Agence Europe) – On Thursday 8 November, the European Commission brought an action before the European Court of Justice against Portugal for failing to comply with the rules of EU law on the allocation of airport slots, despite a first judgment of the CJEU. In 2016, the latter had condemned Lisbon following an infringement action brought by the Commission for failing to provide necessary safeguards regarding the functional and financial independence of the slot coordinator....
