Court extends passengers' right to compensation for significant delay of an international flight

Under the terms of the European Court of Justice (ECJ) ruling on Thursday 31 May in Case C-537/17, air passengers' right to compensation for a significant delay can be applied to a flight linking two towns situated outside the European Union, if this flight is part of a single reservation departing from the EU.

In this particular case, a passenger had reserved a trip with Royal Air Maroc linking Berlin (Germany) to Agadir (Morocco) with a stopover and change of aircraft in Casablanca...
