Work-life balance, opinion from Parliament's gender equality committee sets maternity/paternity pay at 80% of gross pay

The women’s rights and gender quality committee (FEMM) at the European Parliament suggests. in the Kozłowska-Rajewicz report it adopted by 19 to 8, with 4 abstentions, on Monday 28 May, setting parental (maternity and paternity) pay and carers’ leave at 80% of the worker’s pay.

This change was added as a compromise amendment.  The opinion is thus now aligned with the position looming at the employment and social affairs committee (EMPL) which is the committee mostly responsible for...
