23/04/2018 (Agence Europe) – Eleven associations (ADPA, CECRA, CITA, EGEA, ETRMA, FIA Region I, FIGIEFA, Insurance Europe, Leaseurope, UEAPME and UEIL) issued a manifesto on Monday 23 April in which they call on Europe’s leaders to take action "without delay" to ensure fair and just access to vehicles’ internal data in order to ensure fair competition. They say giving greater access to data would support the emergence of a new digital services sector, whereas the ‘extended vehicles’ model currently developed by car manufacturers does not because it excludes independent suppliers.
