Green light to prolongation of British support measure for postal services

20/02/2018 (Agence Europe) – On Tuesday 20 February, the Commission approved the prolongation of a British financial compensation measure in favour of Post Office Ltd (POL). This guarantees POL financial support of around €418 million for the period 2018-2021 in exchange for the provision of postal services over a large part of the territory of the United Kingdom, which would not be possible if POL's activities followed a purely economic logic.
