EU calls for release of over ten human rights activists and bloggers

09/02/2018 (Agence Europe) – On Friday 9 February, the spokesperson for the European External Action Service stated that the EU expects the Vietnamese authorities to "immediately" release all bloggers and human right activists imprisoned for having peacefully expressed their views.  Earlier in the day, six human rights activists were sentenced by a Vietnamese court, bringing to at least 16 the number of human rights activists and bloggers prosecuted and sentenced by Vietnamese courts...
