Commission to finance action to raise public awareness of African swine fever

02/02/2018 (Agence Europe) – On 1 February, experts from the member states approved, as part of a vote in standing committee, a proposal from the Commission aiming to strengthen communication about the risk linked to African swine fever.  During the EU Agriculture Council on 29 January (see EUROPE 11948), Health Commissioner Vytenis Andriukaitis underlined the importance of the human factor in the fight against this disease, which is gradually spreading in Europe (the Baltic countries...
