MEPs approve European Parliament/Council agreement on reform of EASA statutes

23/01/2018 (Agence Europe) – On Tuesday 23 January, MEPs at the European Parliament’s transport committee approved (38 votes ‘for’, 1 vote ‘against’, 2 abstentions) the inter-institutional agreement between Parliament and the former Estonian Presidency of the Council of the European Union of 30 November last on reform of the statutes of the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), at the end of extremely lengthy negotiations (see EUROPE 11916).
