European Fiscal Board calls for improvements to rules of Stability and Growth Pact

Whilst acknowledging the contribution made by the fiscal rules of the Stability and Growth Pact to stabilising the economy of the Eurozone in recent years, the annual report of the European Fiscal Board, published on Wednesday 15 October, sets out recommendations to make these rules more effective.
