18/09/2017 (Agence Europe) – In a press release published on Friday 15 September, the International Road Transport Union (IRU) expressed concern about the consequences of Brexit on the free movement of goods between the Union and United Kingdom. If the different parties in the negotiations do not reach an agreement on trade and customs, the IRU warns that there will be “chaos at the borders” and that this will create “a period of significant costs to international transport” between the Union and United Kingdom. The IRU is therefore calling on the British government and European Union to reach agreements on trade, customs and transport. (LT)
