18/09/2017 (Agence Europe) – The European Commission is preparing for the European Year of Cultural Heritage 2018. On 18 September, it launched a call for proposals as part of its Creative Europe programme for the cultural and creative sectors. The procedure is open until 22 November and it is addressed to cultural actors such as concert halls, operas and theatre groups throughout the EU. The call seeks to finance a total budget of €5 million for cross-border projects in the cultural heritage domain. These projects will have to begin between January and September 2018 for a 24 month maximum period. The projects will prioritise activities involved in raising awareness, communication and those that have a long-term impact. (SPj)
