15/09/2017 (Agence Europe) – The Alliance of Rail New Entrants – ALLRAIL – urged the European Commission in a press release on Thursday 14 September to take action against the Slovak authorities over the blocking of international rail passenger transport between Bratislava and Prague. The organisation feels that the Slovak authorities are violating measures in the fourth rail package on access to international rail services despite the fact that it says that the Bratislava-Prague line does not compete with a state-subsidised railway service. ALLRAIL adds that action by the European Commission ‘should also serve to remind other member states’ governments that they must comply with both the letter and the spirit of the EU 4th Railway Package.’ (LT)
