Advocate General finds that Sernam must pay back more than €642 million in unlawful aid

Advocate General Paolo Mengozzi has recommended that the Court of Justice of the EU reject the appeal brought by the Société nationale des chemins de fer français (SNCF) and confirm that incompatible State aid totalling more than €642 million must be paid back by Financière Sernam and its subsidiaries, in conclusions returned on Thursday 20 July (case C-127/16 P).
