On Thursday 20 July, the European Commission announced that is had released a further €10 million in emergency humanitarian aid for vulnerable populations in Libya.
The growing needs of the civilian populations that have fallen victim to the violence and instability in Libya justify this increased humanitarian effort. Together with this additional aid of €10 million, the EU's humanitarian aid amounts to €30 million since the start of the crisis.
