On Friday 14 July, the European Commission concluded that Belgium's public guarantee regime in favour of nuclear operators did not constitute State aid.
Last year, Belgium adopted a law on compensation of potential victims of a nuclear accident, in compliance with the modified version of the Paris Convention on civil liability in the field of nuclear energy.
