13/06/2017 (Agence Europe) – In a press release published by the Airports Council International Europe (ACI Europe) at its annual assembly on Tuesday 13 June, Augustin de Romanet, the ACI Europe President stated, “Brexit threatens the internal aviation market”. He expalined that, “The aviation sector has been acknowledged as one of the sectors being put most at risk by Brexit” but that the possibility of aviation transport sector being disturbed “is both real and substantial”. In response to the possible extension of the US list of airports from which passengers cannot carry their laptops on-board when travelling to the US, the ACI Europe President also highlighted the need for dialogue and work to be carried out together with US authorities on aviation security issues.
