Monday 27 March

  • Brussels. Council of Ministers. 'Justice and Home Affairs' Council (and 28/03). Home affairs: - Migration: debate on the implementation of the Malta Declaration and returns policy. – State of progress with work on: reform of European asylum regime, European travel information and authorisation system (ETIAS), registration system for entries and exits.
  • Brussels. European Parliament. Activities of the committees. – BUDG: vote on the recommendation on the first revision of the multi-annual financial framework. – CONT: vote on the draft report on the 2015 annual report on the protection of the financial interests of the EU and the financial activity of the EIB. – LIBE: debate with the French and German home affairs ministers on the interoperability of the information systems to facilitate the exchange of information in security matters. – ECON: vote on measures to tackle 'hybrid mismatches' (tax fraud). – LIBE-FEMM: public hearing on the accession of the EU to the Istanbul Convention on tackling violence against women. – FEMM: vote on an oral question to the Council on the implementation of the Parliament's recommendations regarding the EU's priorities for the session of the UN Commission on the Status of Women. 

Tuesday 28  March

Justice: - State of progress with technical work on: the directive on digital content supply contracts, the directive on the laundering of capital, the regulation on the mutual recognition of freezing and confiscation decisions. – Debates on: criminal justice in cyberspace; criminal measures regarding foreign terrorist fighters returning to their country of origin.
  • Luxembourg. *Court of Justice of the EU. #Judgments: - C-72/15 (Rosneft – The validity of the restrictive measures adopted by the Council against Rosneft and other Russian companies). – C-146/16 (Verband Socialer Wettbewerb – Obligation to state the vendor's identity and address in printed advertising material or possibility to state only the address of a website containing this information). * General Court of the EU: #Judgment: T-681/14 (El-Qaddafi/Council – Application for cancellation of freezing of assets against the daughter of former Libyan President, Muhammar Gaddafi).
