Green light to reduced tax on certain products from the French outermost regions

15/03/2017 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday 15 March, the European Commission announced it had authorised state aid in the form of reductions in the octroi de mer tax to the benefit of locally produced products in the French outermost regions (Guadeloupe, Guyana, Martinique, Mayotte and Reunion).  France quantified in detail the additional charges borne by companies in these regions for each product.  The additional charges can be explained by the very small size and distance of the...
