European Parliament rejects idea of basic universal income provided for in robotics report

Although the own-initiative report by Mady Delvaux (S&D, Luxembourg) – wanting to introduce rules of civil law on robotics – was adopted on Thursday 16 February (by 396 votes in favour, 123 against and 85 abstentions), the rapporteur was much embittered as her text was spoiled by the many amendments that were lodged.
