On Monday 13 February, Austria's President Alexander Van der Bellen and Chancellor Christian Kern discussed the future Brexit with European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker. Kerns insisted on the EU ensuring that the UK finds itself in a worse position when it leaves the EU than when it was a member state, otherwise this would be "a capitulation".
