European Parliament wants enlightenment on aid to Tindouf camp

Brussels, 30/04/2015 (Agence Europe) - On Wednesday 29 April, Gilles Pargneaux (S&D, France), who leads the EU-Morocco friendship group, stated that the European Parliament “has clearly said no to misappropriation of funds”.

The affair dates back to 2003. A report had criticised the management of aid and how it was channelled to the Saharan camp but it has only recently been uncovered (see EUROPE 11243 and 11245). The European Commission (and it its humanitarian aid and civil protection...
