11/02/2011 (Agence Europe) - EPP accepts two new members. The EPP (European People's Party) Political Assembly unanimously agreed to accept within its ranks the Czech party TOP09 as a full member and the PLDM (Moldovan Liberal Democratic Party) of Moldova as an observer. In a press release, EPP leader Wilfried Martens welcomed the arrival of the new members. The Assembly also approved a resolution on the situation in Albania and Martens highlighted the responsibility the Socialist opposition had to bear for the very tense political situation. The Assembly adopted resolutions on religious tolerance, pensions and education. (Gp/transl.rt)
