Brussels, 13/01/2011 (Agence Europe) - On 13 January, the European Commission authorised the takeover by Sanofi-Aventis (pharmaceutical products, human vaccines and veterinary products) of the US biotech company, Genzyme. The latter is a specialist in the development of pharmaceutical products and biotechnology used in the treatment of rare genetic diseases, biosurgery, hematologic oncology and multiple sclerosis.
