General Court overturns Council measures freezing Stichting Al-Aqsa funds in EU

Brussels, 10/09/2010 (Agence Europe) - In its ruling in Case T-348/07 delivered on Thursday 9 September, the General Court rescinded a series of acts from the Council of Ministers which, as part of the fight against terrorism, ordered the freezing of funds of Stichting Al-Aqsa, a Dutch foundation which describes itself as an Islamic social aid institution financially supporting various organisations in Israel, the West Bank and the Gaza Strip involved in humanitarian emergencies.
