10/09/2010 (Agence Europe) - Meeting on the fringes of the Gymnich-type Foreign Affairs Council in Brussels on Friday 10 September 2010, EU trade ministers gave the go-ahead to the opening of negotiations for a Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between the EU and Malaysia. The ministers also endorsed the opening of negotiations for an EU trade deal with China on the protection of geographical indications. (E.H./transl.fl)
