29/04/2010 (Agence Europe) - On Wednesday 28 April, EU Internal Market Commissioner Michel Barnier unveiled his work programme for 2010, asking how one could explain to Poles that for legal reasons, they are not allowed to shop at Apple online. He said he would be unveiling a draft regulation to clarify the segmented domain of collective copyright and royalties management. He promised to publish a report after the summer holidays assessing implementation of EU Directive 2004/48/EC on the respect of intellectual property rights, which may lead to changes to the legislation to clarify and beef up legislation in the interests of copyright holders.
