Poland seeks to increase European funding for culture

Brussels, 29/01/2010 (Agence Europe) - Poland has launched an initiative to step up the amounts allocated to the funding of culture in the future financial perspectives 2014-2020, so that Europe safeguards and builds up the “wealth of artistic forms”. Consultation has already been held with France, Belgium and Germany and, according to Poland's Culture Minister Bogdan Zdrojewski, met by EUROPE on 22 January, Warsaw's request has until now been received “very favourably”.
