29/01/2010 (Agence Europe) - The Commission's opinion on Iceland's request for EU membership will probably be published on 24 February. The date is mentioned in the institution's internal planning but the exact date will be determined by the new College of Commissioners once in place, a Commission source explained on Friday. The Icelandic referendum on the Icesave law (compensation of British and Dutch savers) will be held on 6 March. (H.B./transl.jl)
