Court upholds 2003 fines on graphite cartel

Brussels, 12/11/2009 (Agence Europe) - In a judgment delivered on Thursday 11 November, the Court of Justice of the European Communities upheld the Commission decision in 2003 to impose fines on French company Le Carbone-Lorraine (€43.05 million) and a number of German Companies, including SGL Carbon (€23.64 million) for participating in a cartel on the market for carbon and graphite products.
