Conditions for VAT deduction on purchase by companies of movable assets discussed

Brussels, 12/11/2009 (Agence Europe) - On Tuesday 10 November, the European Parliament economic and monetary committee gave its view on putting in place rules on whether VAT should be deductable for the purchase of movable assets by European firms. Called for the second time to give their opinion on this issue, following changes made by the Council to its position, MEPs want an independent assessment of the effects of the proposed legislation to be carried out before going any further.
