27/10/2009 (Agence Europe) - On Thursday 29 October, the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) will hold a pre-Summit conference on “The Post-2010 (Lisbon) Strategy - A way out of the Crisis”. An inter-institutional debate will be held on the topic, from 9.45am to 10.45am, under the chairmanship of Staffan Nilsson, President of the Lisbon Strategy Observatory. Taking part will be Commissioner for Employment, Social Affairs and Equal Opportunities Vladimir Spidla, Swedish European Affairs Minister Cecilia Malmström and EESC President Mario Sepi. The results of the conference, together with the Integrated Report on the future of the Lisbon Strategy drafted jointly by the EESC and national Economic and Social Councils at the request of the incoming Spanish Presidency of the EU, will be submitted to the Spring 2010 European Council.
