Import of photographic gelatine into Czech Republic authorised

Brussels, 12/10/2009 (Agence Europe) - On Friday 9 October, the EU Council of Ministers decided not to oppose a decision authorising the import of photographic gelatine into the Czech Republic. Photographic gelatine is made from material derived from cattle spinal columns.

Regulation 1774/2002 (health rules applicable to animal by-products not intended for human consumption) bans the import of animal by-products and processed products into the Community and their transit through it....
