Controversy surrounding harmonisation in draft directive on consumer rights

Brussels, 30/09/2009 (Agence Europe) - The subject of a public hearing during the previous European Parliament, the October 2008 draft directive on consumer rights on contract law for remote and outlet sales (see EUROPE 9757) has again come under expert scrutiny, being examined on Tuesday 29 September 2009 at a new public hearing organised by the European Parliament's Internal Market and Consumer Protection Committee, chaired by Malcolm Harbour (ECR, United Kingdom).
