Commission increases emergency aid to victims of Typhoon Ketsana to €4 million

Brussels, 30/09/2009 (Agence Europe) - On Wednesday 30 September, the European Commission decided to provide a further €2 million in fast-track humanitarian aid to help victims of Typhoon Ketsana in southern Asia (see EUROPE 9987).

On top of €2 million announced on 29 September for the Philippines, an additional sum of €2 million will be provided for Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos, which have also been severely hit.
