02/06/2009 (Agence Europe) - At the end of the EU/South Korea summit on 23 May in Seoul (EUROPE 9906), leaders from the two sides welcomed the “considerable progress” made in the negotiations for a bilateral free trade agreement. In a common declaration, the South Korean president, Lee Myung-bak, Czech president, Vaclav Klaus and the president of the European Commission, José Manuel Barroso, indicated that they expected a “rapid conclusion” to the talks.
