EU ministers to meet on Friday to discuss General Motors situation

Brussels, 28/05/2009 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has confirmed that a meeting of EU ministers with responsibility for the car industry will take place in Brussels this Friday 29 May (beginning at 3.00pm) to coordinate rescue measures for the General Motors (GM) factories in Europe. The meeting was requested by Belgium, which wanted all the countries with GM factories to work together in the on-going talks with the American firm and possible buyers (see EUROPE 9909). The...
