Additional funding of €750 million for green transport

Brussels, 18/05/2009 (Agence Europe) - Last week, the board of the European Investment Bank (EIB) approved the award of loans to a total of €750 million to car builders established in Europe, to help them to design and build greener cars emitting less CO2.

Funding of €150 million was approved for a research and development (R&D) project developed by DAF Trucks in the Netherlands, whilst Ford will benefit from €400 million in loans to build and run a factory for vehicles and engines in...
