18/05/2009 (Agence Europe) - On 13 May, the European Commission adopted a draft decision on the signature and provisional application of a scientific and technical cooperation agreement between the European Community and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. Jordan has the capacity to act as a hub for scientific cooperation with other countries in the region (Syria, Lebanon, Palestinian Authority, Israel, Egypt and Turkey). (L.C./transl.rt)
