11/09/2008 (Agence Europe) - On 9 September, the European Commission authorised under the EU Merger Regulation the proposed acquisition of Agip España, controlled by the ENI Group, by Galp of Portugal. After examining the operation, the Commission concluded that the overlaps between the sales activities, particularly oil and petroleum products mainly in the Iberian peninsula would not significantly impede effective competition, given that motorists in all regions of the Iberian peninsula...
