16/07/2008 (Agence Europe) - On Wednesday 16 July 2008, the European Commission decided to add eight denominations of farm and food products to the EU list of protected appellations of origin (PAO) and protected geographical indications (PGI), namely Portugal's 'Arroz Carolino das Lezírias Ribatejanas' (rice - PGI), Portugal's 'Alheira de Vinhais' (smoked sausage - PGI), Portugal's 'Presunto de Vinhais' or 'Presunto Bísaro de Vinhais' (ham - PGI), Spain's 'Gamoneu' or 'Gamonedo cheese...
