Brussels, 09/07/2008 (Agence Europe) - On Tuesday 8 July, the Dutch Senate adopted the law for ratifying the Lisbon Treaty. The latter had already obtained the green light from the lower house at Parliament at the beginning of June. The Dutch people rejected the draft European constitution in June 2005 but the country now becomes the 19th member state to have entirely closed the ratification procedure.
