Ahead of schedule, member states reach objective of 1% of directives not written into national law

Brussels, 09/07/2008 (Agence Europe) - “For once, reality has surpassed my expectations: only one year later (…) and well ahead of schedule, the agreed target of 1% has been met” for directives transposed into national law by 2009, Internal Market Commissioner McCreevy was pleased to note. His announcement was made on Wednesday 9 July as he gave the half-yearly results of the internal market scoreboard. Such a result means that 18 member states (Germany, Bulgaria, Denmark, Spain,...
