European Investment Bank and Commission sign memorandum of understanding on coordination of external lending

Brussels, 28/05/2008 (Agence Europe) - The European Investment Bank (EIB) and the European Commission signed a memorandum of understanding on Monday 26 May designed to coordinate the European Union's external lending policy better. The aim of the memorandum is to improve EIB loans' consistency with the aims of the EU's external policy by strengthening dialogue and planning between the two institutions in order to maximise the use of resources for subsidies and loans.
