PES group in Committee of Regions end consultations on PES manifesto for 2009 European elections

Brussels, 28/05/2008 (Agence Europe) - The PES (Party of European Socialists) Group in the Committee of the Regions (CoR) concluded its consultations on drawing up a PES manifesto for the 2009 European elections with an extraordinary meeting in Turin on 15-16 May. The meeting focused on three of the four manifesto themes: (1) Save our Planet, (2) European Democracy and Diversity, and (3) Europe in the World (the fourth theme focuses on the new social Europe - see EUROPE 9639).
