28/05/2008 (Agence Europe) - On Tuesday 27 May in Brussels, Switzerland signed a protocol with the European Union on the extension of free movement of persons, with Romania and Bulgaria. The protocol will not enter into force before its ratification in mid-2009, if all goes well. It will allow Switzerland to limit during a period of seven years, the awarding of residency authorisations to these two countries.
