Brussels, 26/05/2008 (Agence Europe) - Louis Michel, the European commissioner for development and humanitarian aid, went to Burma on 14-16 May and attempted to change the intransigence of the authorities blocking aid to the country. He has welcomed the junta's intention to allow international humanitarian workers to enter the country in order to provide assistance following cyclone Nargis.
