The French Suez company is in exclusive negotiations with the Italian ENI company with a view to selling off the share it owns in the Belgian gas operator, Distrigas. This sale of 57.25% in Distrigas is part of the commitment made by Suez and Gaz de la France to the Commission in their merger project. (I.L.)
